The Nelaga Territories

Eh... sure... I do worry about Nelaga simply turning into a Gralus clone (by using the same equipment and magic and such...).

Yeah, it's more Fides. If it was Gralus magic, you'd have to be able to actually explain how it was done ...

Okay, fine, it is gralus magic that powers the gate. But it is shielded by Nelagan & Universalis tech, and made of stone mined deep in the mystic mountains of Livlandia. I'm thinking of equipping the gates with Jasonian lasers to be able to clear the landing space like real stargates do upon dialling.

Fides magic consists of adding in a lot of things that sound cool together but are often unneeded and don't actually explain anything

I couldn't answer that definitely . And the reason I sometimes insult you is because I know you can do better but dont have the willpower too, and i'm trying to provoke you into it. It doesn't seem to be working though.
Actually my interest in Nelaga was piqued a lot by the new work on CoD2 (which is honestly the reason I joined in the first place), and I decided since its holidays I may as well post everywhere else too.

Well, it is holidays...

I've been kind of silent on that for a bit. My dad was visiting last weekend and I was visiting him the weekend before, so I haven't gotten major work done. Rest assured, however, that things are definately progressing and I am in no way losing interest again. Far, far from it. I just don't have anything too flashy to show of the minor things I've added during the weekdays. We'll see how this weekend goes as far as getting something screenshot-worthy out.

Just to know that you're working on it is great. We don't need screenshots ...

Fides, no offence meant, but even without Harvey currently working on it, he's going to have more done and done well before he leaves it forever (like he did with CoD2)

That was the best beta testing I have EVER gotten! I saved a text copy of that on my computer, just to use for future reference what an actual beta testing report looks like.

See, the problem is, when I did CoD2, I realised that Harvey is much more experienced than me in RPGs, in terms of how many he's played and how much he's programmed.
Fides, you've only ever really played CoD2 (diablo and stuff dont count, different style). so as well as errors, i give you suggestions, so it can be a better RPG than it would be.

But if you did that all the time; you'd be unstoppable!
