Garpity garp garp ga- wait, what? Is the nation showing the vaguest, bare-bones attempts at life! Why yes, yes it is! Garping fantastic!

The President and Speaker have begun to put some of their agendas into action. The former has created a favicon for the site - say hello, little N in the corner of the web browser! Don't be shy! - and is working on some larger-scale plans for the nation including a MCS update and some forum tweaks, while the latter has pushed the legislature into full gear and is working to set up the long-awaited Meritocracy!

Speaking of, we're a Meritocracy, which may be a little-known fact! If anyone on the forums does things that benefit Nelaga they can earn merit, and the merits can be turned into votes in the legislature. Even non-citizens can earn merit and be able to vote in our legislature without actually having citizenship in the nation! Is that garping revolutionary or what?! Feel free to check out the Meritocracy Foundation for the details on how to get started, keeping in mind that the system has also already seen two amendments to make it even more user-friendly.

Meanwhile, we are considering our position on removing the SCUE from the SC (undecided currently, but as of this garp, signs point to approval) and at the same time are conducting cordial negotiations with the good Bovic Empire of Natopia for potential joint control over Ptia between Nelaga and Natopia. Garpy doesn't have have the patience for this! Garpy wants a new island to garp around! Here's to hoping that we'll see a voting topic about this one in the next few days to make everything all nice and official!
